Grid station inaugurated at Garhiyasin

Shikarpur: The inaugural ceremony of the newly constructed 132 KV Grid Station was performed by Agha Siraj Durrani, Sindh Provincial Minister for Local Government at Garhiyasin on Tuesday.

The project was constructed by Sukkur Electric Power Company SEPCO with cost of Rs340million. The funds were provided by WAPDA through World Bank.

SEPCO Chief Executive Noor Ahmed Dayo in his address said the project would be beneficial for the electricity consumers of 35 villages of taluka Garhiyasin including Garhiyasin town.

Agha Siraj Durrani said that another grid station will be constructed soon at Madeji town. Criticizing, opposition parties he advised them to avoid the negative politics of agitation.
