Gunman’s wife sent on transit remand

Islamabad: A duty magistrate on Sunday issued one-day transit remand for Kanwal, wife of a gunman who created high drama at the heart of the federal capital on Thursday. The accused was presented before magistrate’s court located at the F8 sector in Islamabad.

According to reports, Kanwal would be produced before an antiterrorism court ATC today Monday. Islamabad police registered a case against the gunman at Kohsar police station under Section 6 of the Anti-Terrorism Act ATA. Sikandar’s wife Kanwal was also named in the FIR.

The gunman was accompanied by his wife and two children who have been now in police custody. Sikandar been admitted in Islamabad’s PIMS hospital where his condition is improving.
