Hamdard celebrates birth anniversary of Hakim Said

Karachi: The 93rd Birth Anniversary of Shaheed Hakim Mohammed Said was fondly celebrated by the staff of Hamdard and students of Hamdard Public School & College on 9th January, 2013. The day was started by offering fateha and laying of floral wreathes at the Mazar of the Shaheed at Madinat al-Hikmah. This was followed by a Food Fair/Mela at the Bilawal Stadium, Hamdard Public School Campus.

Inaugurating the food fair, the Chief Guest and Managing Director of Oxford University Press Pakistan Ms. Ameena Saiyid congratulated and appreciated the efforts of students and staff and organizers of the event for celebrating the birth anniversary of the founder of Hamdard Pakistan, Shaheed Hakim Mohammed Said, in such a befitting manner.

The Chief Guest along with the President Hamdard Foundation Pakistan, Mrs. Sadia Rashid and the Vice President, Madinat al-Hikmah, Fatema Munir Ahmed took keen interest in the fair and visited over 20 stalls set up by students and staff, displaying various pieces of art work and handicrafts, done by students, and serving fast-food and other items on this occasion.
