Health minister vows to eradicate polio from Sindh

Karachi: Provincial Minister for Health Dr Sagheer Ahmed said the best available treatment would be provided to the injured male polio workers, while the bereaved families of slain female vaccinators would be fully supported.

He expressed these views while chairing a high level meeting at his office here on Thursday.

Minister said such acts of terrorism are highly condemnable and preplanned conspiracy to push the country backward. He further said these shameful acts could not demoralize the courage of volunteers. He vowed to eradicate polio from Sindh. He said polio campaign has been stopped in province in order to save the precious lives of vaccinators.

The meeting was attended by secretary health Aftab Khatri, Dr Suresh Kumar, Talha Farooqui, Feroz Memon and Imdad Ullah.
