Islamabad: Minister of State for Housing & Works, Barrister Usman Ibrahim has asked a detailed report on the appointments made in Federal Government Employees Housing Foundation (FGEHF) and Pakistan Housing Authority (PHA) during the tenure of last government.

While taking notice of different illegal appointments in the above mentioned departments, which were made during stint of previous government, the Minister has directed the concerned departments to submit a detailed report of all recruitments.

He said that PML-N believes on merit and this step is aimed at ascertaining the fact whether or not these appointments were made in accordance with prescribed procedure/rules, regulations and on merit. It is also to ensure that no outside pressure was used in securing these recruitments.

The Minister emphasized the need to follow the rules and regulations for every official assignment and there is no place for nepotism and favouritism.

He added that under the leadership of incumbent government we are trying our level best to make the system fair and transparent.
