Independent candidate withdraws in favour of PPP man

Mithi: An independent candidate belonging to minorities here Tuesday announcing withdrawing in favour of the candidate of Pakistan Peoples’ Party Parliamentarian (PPP) from PS-61 Tharparkar 2.

Independent candidate Talookchand alias Amar Odwani announced that he is withdrawing in support of PPPP candidate Dr Mahesh Kumar Malani on PS-61, a constituency with huge vote base of minorities.

In 2008 general election this seat was won by Pakistan Muslim League (PML) candidate Arbab Zulfiqar Ali, who defeated rival candidate Pesso Mall Akrani of PPPP. Arbab had bagged 56977 votes while Pesso 19624.
