President Azad Jammu and Kashmir Sardar Masood Khan has said by abolishing the special status of Jammu and Kashmir, India has tried to colonize the territory.
In an interview with Radio Pakistan's News and Current Affairs Channel on Wednesday, he said India's unilateral step to change the status of Occupied Jammu and Kashmir is violation of UN Security Council resolutions and international laws.
He said Kashmiris have been struggling for their right to self-determination for last 72 years.
Sardar Masood Khan said UNSC meeting on Kashmir issue is a great diplomatic success of Pakistan and voice of Kashmiris was heard at highest diplomatic forum of the world.
AJK President appreciated the international community, particularly the role of China for their special cooperation in convening UNSC meeting. He also praised the role of the United States, Russia, France and U,K which did not create hurdle in convening UNSC meeting on Kashmir issue.
To a question about the role of OIC during recent scenario, he said OIC Secretary General has given several statements in favor of Pakistan's stance on Kashmir.
AJK President said the United States is playing a role of coordination between Pakistan and India which should be continued.
Sardar Masood Khan said India's latest steps in Occupied Kashmir are tantamount to attacking Kashmiri Muslims, which is reflecting Hindu extremist mindset of Modi regime.
He said it is our first priority to save Kashmiris from genocide in the hands of Indian occupation forces.
In his message to the people of Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, he said people of Pakistan stand by with their Kashmiri brethren.
AJK President appreciated Radio Pakistan and national and international media for effectively highlighting the issue and cause of Kashmir at nook and corner of the world.
Director General Radio Pakistan Shahera Shahid, Director News Abdul Hadi Mayar and Controller News and Current Affairs Channel Zohra Usmani were also present on the occasion.
