ISESCO to hold expert meeting on ‘halal food’ in Cameroon

Rabat The Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) will hold an expert meeting on "Halal Food" in Yaounde, Cameroon, from May 13 to 15.

The event aims at exchanging experiences on the concept of halal foods as well as the mechanisms, standards and guarantees of their marketing in the African countries participating in the meeting. It also seeks to propose strategies to sensitize actors about the criteria and measures related to accreditation of halal food to reach local markets.

Participants in the meeting include experts, researchers, representatives of consumer protection associations and producers from Cameroon, Nigeria, Senegal, Chad and Togo.
