IT PTCL participates in international digital media conference

Islamabad: Pakistan Telecommunications Company Limited’s IP Operations participated in the 18th International Digital Multimedia and Entertainment Technology Exhibition and Conference in Singapore.

Ather A. Baig, PTCL senior engineer IP Operations Core and an expert in IP technologies represented the company at the conference and participated in the panel discussion on “How Can connected TV Bring New Money to the TV Industry”. Mr. Baig briefed the audience about the landmark launch and growth of PTCL’s SmartTV, Broadband services, and next generation IPTV services like OTT in Pakistan.

Mr. Ather also gave a presentation during an OTT workshop on “Emerging Vs Developed Regions – Business Models to Monetize Content” at the conference.

The Multimedia conference is an annual platform which focuses on delivering growth in an evolving ecosystem and enhancing the customer experience for the connected consumer. It aims to transform future Broadband and media strategies through dialogue and experience sharing.

The forum was attended by more than 16,000 visitors from around the world including internationally recognized industry experts & transformational players. Besides PTCL, world’s leading and prominent organizations participated in this international event.
