Japan stops green-shirts’ winning run in Kakamigahara

Karachi: Having won all the league matches in the ongoing Asian Champions Trophy in Kakamigahara, Japan, the green-shirts were held by the hosts in their last league match on Friday as the match ended in a 2-2 draw.

Both defending champion Pakistan and Japan will also clash for top honours in the climax of the tournament.

The first half was locked at 1-1 while both the teams scored one more each in the second half as well. Haseem Khan and Mohammad Rizwan Junior scored one each for Pakistan in the match.

Pakistan had earlier defeated Oman by 8-0, China by 5-1, Malaysia by 1-0 and Indian by 5-4 after a thrilling encounter.
