JI condemns hike in oil price

Karachi: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Sindh chapter amir Dr Merajul Haq here Sunday strongly condemned the rise in oil prices and termed it antipeople decision.

In a statement, he said the sitting government of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has dropped the third ‘petrol bomb’ on masses within three months. He said the hike in oil price would result in rise in prices of all other commodities and common man would be ultimate sufferer.

He asked the government to fulfil its promises of ending corruption, recovery of the looted national wealth and reduction in no developmental expenses.

Separately, he also condemned the drone attack on North Wazirstan and the loss of precious lives. He said the drone attack was violation of Pakistan territories and attack on its sovereignty. He said the government should take necessary measures against drone attacks instead of playing the role of silent spectator.
