JI demands uninterrupted power supply to Karachi

KARACHI: Acting Chief of Jamaat-e-Islami JI Karachi Barjees Ahmed has strongly criticized the long hours load shedding in the city.

Ina statement issued here on Sunday, JI Karachi chief criticized the performance of Karachi Electric Supply Company KESC and said that its management had plunged the city into darkness.

He said that the people are in mental agony due to the prolonged load shedding for 10 to 12 hours and shortage of water supply in different areas of the city. However, the government and KESC management had completely turned blind eye over the power an d water rises during scorching summer.

It is an unjustified act that those innocent citizens who are paying electricity bills regularly have been deprived of electricity while the KESC management is providing uninterrupted power supply to the influential personalities, he added.

He further said that the students, women, elderly people and patients are badly affected by the long hour unannounced load shedding in the city.

JI leader demanded of the government to take immediate action to eliminate unannounced load shedding in the city and bound KESC to provide uninterrupted power supply.
