JI for electoral alliance with likeminded parties

Lahore: Secretary General, Jamaat e Islami, Liaqat Baloch, has said that the JI could enter into an election alliance or seat adjustment with any religious or political party other the present ruling alliance and it was already in contact with the PMLN, the PTI, and other parties.

He was addressing a media conference held at Mansoora, participated by the JI personnel associated with the media and public relations.
Liaqat Baloch said that the claims being made by the rulers through the media regarding the solution of peoples’ problems and economic progress were a white lie.

President Zardari, Prime Minister Pervez Ashraf besides federal and provincial ministers was dishing out fictitious figures of progress under their rule. The facts on the other hand, was that the PPP and its allies had set new records of corruption, plunder of public money, nepotism and mismanagement, ending up in the destruction of the national economy.

There had been record rise in inflation, price spiral and trade deficit during the rule of the PPP and its allies, he added. The common man was groaning under the burden of price hike while the elite ruling class was leading luxurious life.

He said the JI had completed its home work for the upcoming elections. It was the first party to present its manifesto aiming at public welfare, and it had promised ending load shedding, price hike, undue taxes on utilities bills besides reduction of POL prices.

He directed the JI workers to expose the government claims by highlighting the corruption, bad governance and the anti people policies/ steps of the present rulers.
