JI grieved over Karachi killings

Lahore: Ameer, Jamaat e Islami, Pakistan, Syed Munawar Hasan and JI Secretary General, Liaqat Baloch, have strongly condemned the target killing of fifteen persons including three Ulema of the Jamia Farooqiyah, Karachi on Thursday.

In a joint statement, they said that the Ulema and religious teaching institution were being targeted under a plan so as to give the killings a sectarian touch.

He said the nation fully knew who had introduced target killings, extortion and dead bodies stuffed in gunny bags in Karachi to destroy the peace in the port city. He said the real aim of these people was to put off the elections.

The JI leaders offered their condolences with the families of Mufti Abdul Majeed, Mufti Muhammad Saleh, and Maulana Ehsanullah.
