JI Karachi amir takes oath

Karachi: Newly elected amir of Jamaat-e-Islami JI Karachi chapter Hafiz Naeemur Rehman took oath of his office in a ceremony held at Idara-e-Noor Haq here on Sunday. On the occasion JI Sindh amir Dr Mairajul Huda Siddiqui has said that his party is a revolutionary movement, struggling to bring an Islamic revolution in Pakistan.

On the occasion, a resolution was approved to condemn the hike in the electricity tariff and the government was asked to withdraw it immediately.

Speaking at the occasion, Hafiz Naeemur Rehman said we own Karachi and will work for introducing a new political culture for the restoration of peace and elimination of terrorism with the collaboration of all positive forces of the city.

He said the JI will take part in the local bodies’ elections and asked the workers to prepare themselves for a door-to-door campaign in this regard.
