JI leaders visit Karachi church

Karachi: A delegation of Jamaat-e-Islami JI Karachi on Monday visited the Holy Trinity Church here and expressed condolence for the victims of blasts in Peshawar church.

The JI delegation comprised former City Nazim Naimatullah Khan Advocate, JI acting amir Karachi chapter Prof Nizamuddin Memon, Incharge JI Minority Wing Younus Sohan Advocate, Pervez Barkat and others.

The JI leaders met with Bishop Sadiq Daniel and Bishop Cardiff during their visit and expressed solidarity with the Christian community.

Niamatullah Khan Advocate said that the State was responsible to safeguard the rights of minorities. He termed the tragic incident inhuman act and added the involvement of external hands in this crime cannot be ruled out.

The Ji leaders assured full support to Christian community, adding the volunteers of AlKhidmat were among the first who reached at the blasts site near Kohati Gate and helped in rescue and relief activities.
