KARACHI: Chief of Jamaat-e-Islami JI Syed Munawar Hasan has appealed to the nation to observe ‘Youm-e-Dua’ Prayers Day on Friday.
In this regard, JI Karachi Chief Muhammad Hussain Mehanti has written letters to the clerics and scholars of different mosques and institutions to observe ‘Youm-e-Dua’ on Friday.
In the letter, Mehanti highlighted the importance to observe ‘Youm-e-Dua’ and stated that the entire country was in the grip of terrorism and killing of innocent people being carried out from Karachi to Peshawar and Lahore, adding the life and property of the people are not safe.
“We as a nation has forgotten our God and as a result of this we are facing problems, adding begging pardon from God is an only way to safe ourselves from more tragedies”, he added.
He said that the prevailing law and order situation was a worst example of lawlessness and terrorism during 65 years of the government.
Mehanti further said that the conspiracies being hatched by external powers to destabilize the sovereignty of the country.
JI Karachi Chief appealed to the religious clerics and scholars to arrange special prayers on Friday in their mosques and other religious institutions.
He further urged the clerics to also perform prayers for the solidarity and sovereignty of the country on ‘Youm-e-Dua’.
