JI urges PM to save PSM

Karachi: Jamaat-e-Islami JI Karachi Chief Muhammad Hussain Mehanti has written an open letter to the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Mohammad Nawaz Sharif, urging him to save the crisis hit Pakistan Steel Mill PSM.

In the letter, JI Karachi Chief demanded of the Prime Minister to look into the matter on war footing basis, as PSM was one of the biggest steel industries of the country.

Through a letter, Mehanti also demanded of the Prime Minister to announce a bailout package for the PSM and take effective measures to release the salary of the staffers before Eidul Fitr.

“The employees are without their monthly salary for several months, adding that the KESC also disconnected the electricity supply of the industry”, Mehanti added.
JI Karachi Chief urged the Prime Minister to take strong note of the situation, as the industry was at its verge of collapse.

It is pertinent to mention here that the JI Karachi Chief also has already written letters to Federal Minister Finance, Minister for Industries and Production, Secretary Finance and Secretary Industries and Production in this regard.
