KARACHI: Caretaker Chief Minister Sindh Zahid Kurban Alvi said on Friday that the government had issued directions to DG Rangers and IG Sindh police to take strict measures for restoring peace in Karachi.
Talking to Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl JUIF delegation at the Chief Minister House, he said that the caretaker government is taking measures to ensure foolproof security before and on the election day, while every possible cooperation would be provided to Election Commission of Pakistan in this regard.
Alvi further said that people in interior Sindh are more affected by load shedding than urban areas. He assured that power and gas dues issue among institutions would soon be resolved. He urged delegation to play their effective role during polio campaign in Gadap town and raise awareness there through prayer leaders of mosques.
JUIF delegation informed the interim chief minister of load shedding, security and law & order issues. The delegation comprised Qari Usman, Gul Muhammad, Umer Sadiq and others.
