Junior teachers promoted as head masters

RATODERO: As many as 12 senior High School Teachers (HSTs) of Larkana district have again complained against the violation of their seniority list as, according to them, junior teachers have been promoted and posted as Head Masters in BS-17.

These HSTs include Nazeer Ahmed, Hussain Ali, Mushtaque Ahmed, Ghulam Nabi Mangi, Dhani Bux, Abdul Majeed Surhio, Muhammad Haroon Dayo, Fazul Muhammad Sario, Ghulam Murteza Jakhro, Shamasdin Tagar Manzoor Ali Mangi and Jameel Ahmed Qazi.

In a joint application addressed to the Sindh Education Secretary, they said that the Education Department has ignored them being seniors to many teachers and has promoted junior teachers which is sheer violation of a recent Supreme Court order. A notification issued by the Education Department is against the basic fundamental rights which must be withdrawn.

They further said that male junior HSTs of BS-16 of Jacobabad district had been promoted from Serial No 21 to 27, from Shikarpur district with Serial No 6 to 16 and from Kambar-Shahdadkot district Serial No 5 to 19. They have been promoted to BS-17 and posted as Head Masters ignoring merit which has created serious unrest among the senior teachers.

This has also created bad governance in the Schools of Larkana division for which the government is striving very hard to upgrade and improve standard of education.

The teachers further stated that many senior high school teachers had already died or retired from government service without getting service promotion benefits which too is against the spirit of law of equity.

These High School Teachers demanded immediate promotions from BS-16 to BS-17 to both male & female HSTs without loss of further time.

The copies of this complaint have also been sent to Chief Justice, Sindh High Court and Sindh Chief Secretary for further necessary action.
