Justice Muhammad Anwar Khan Kasi appointed as CJ of Islamabad High Court

Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari, on the advice of the Prime Minister, has appointed Mr. Justice Muhammad Anwar Khan Kasi, Judge Islamabad High Court, as Chief Justice of Islamabad High Court.

Spokesperson to the President Senator Farhatullah Babar said the Parliamentary Committee on Judges Appointment in the Superior Courts, after receiving the said nomination from the Judicial Commission of Pakistan, unanimously agreed to it and requested the Prime Minister to advise the President for the said appointment.

Accordingly, acting upon the advice of the Prime Minister, the President has approved the appointment of Mr. Justice Muhammad Anwar Khan Kasi, Judge Islamabad High Court, as Chief Justice of Islamabad High Court.
