Known religious leader passes away

QUETTA: A noted religious leader Maulana Ghulam Sarwar died after illness. He was suffering from kidney problem. He was 76. He leaves behind a widow, seven sons and three daughters.

He was an old fellow of JUI leader Maulana Mufti Mahmood and father in law of Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Hydri. Maulana Sarwar played vanguard role in Tehreek Nizam Mustafa, restoration for democracy and Tehreek Khatam Nabuwat and suffered imprisonments.

Meanwhile Amir JUI Maulana Fazlur Rehman has expressed deep grief and sorrow over his death and paid tributes to his religious, national and party services.

Maulana Fazlur Rehman is due to arrive here Monday. He would lead funeral prayers of Maulana Sarwar at Liaqat Park here.
