KU website records 90mn hits

Karachi: Karachi University website records over 9 million hits during the year 2012, says a KU handout here Monday.

The official website of the University of Karachi received over 9 Crore hits in 2012, a record that makes its one of the most accessed University websites in Pakistan. The data transfer volume recorded during the year stood at a mammoth 3TB 3100 GB. The busiest month was December2012, during which 1.6 Crore hits were recorded and data transfer volume stood at about 600GB.

The gigantic increase during the month is due to the Admissions 2013 process going on at the University.

All the information, forms, and results were timely posted and accessed by the candidates.

B.A./B.Sc./B.Com. Annual Examinations are also in progress and their schedules attract a lot of visitors.

Moreover, the website also contains indepth information regarding all the teaching departments of the University as well as publishes all the results announced by the Annual Examination Section as well as the Semester Cell.

The website is maintained by the Main Communication Network University of Karachi and the record number of hits bears a testimony to their hard work and proficiency. It is pertinent to note that all the updates on the website are only made through notifications from the Registrar Office.
