Kuwait denounces terrorist attack on Saudi Abha airport

Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah sent a cable on Monday to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman, in which he expressed Kuwait's strong condemnation of the attack on Abha International Airport, killing one person and injuring several others.

In the cable, Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmed stressed that such a terrorist act is a blatant violation of international laws and a perilous escalation that threatens security and stability in the region. He also affirmed his country's stand by Saudi Arabia and its full support for whatever necessary measures it takes to ensure security and stability in the Kingdom.

The Kuwaiti leader further extended his sincere condolences to the family of the victim and wished a speedy recovery to those injured in the attack.

Kuwait's Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah have sent similar cables to the Saudi monarch, according to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA).
