Karachi: Governor of Punjab, Latif Khosa tendered resignation during a meeting here Saturday with President Asif Ali Zaradi.
Khosa called on President Zardari at the Bilawal House and gave his resignation which was accepted. Both the leaders discussed political situation and other related matters. Federal Law Minister Farooq H. Naik was also present. On the occasion, the services of Khosa for the party and his role as Governor Punjab were lauded
Later on, former PMLF leader Makhdoom Ahmed Mehmood, the expected new Punjab governor also met President Zardai at Bilawal House.
A leader of a breakaway faction of a Pakistan Muslim League PMLF, has been nominated for the office after he parted with his party.
Mehmood, who belongs to a famous political family in southern Punjab, has served as minister of state and provincial minister in Punjab.
