LCCI thanks CM Punjab for restoring gas to industrial sector

LAHORE: The Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry on Wednesday thanked Chief Minister Punjab Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif and appreciated the SNGPL authorities for restoring the supply of gas to the industrial sector and termed it a good decision for the manufacturing sector in general and exporting industries in particular.

In a statement issued here, the LCCI President Engineer Sohail Lashari, Senior Vice President Mian Tariq Misbah and Vice President Kashif Anwar said that the issuance of notification regarding the restoration of supply of gas on the demand of the LCCI has further raised business community confidence in the government.

The LCCI Office-bearers said that Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry knew very well that there was an acute shortage of gas in the country but also understands that the things could be shaped up by resetting priorities.

The LCCI office-bearers said that the restoration of supply of gas to the industry would also greatly help the manufacturing sector to avail the benefit of the GSP Plus status.
