LG Talhar staff deprived of 3 salaries; one dies

TALHAR: Despite availability of sufficient funds in the account, the local government (LG) Talhar employees have been deprived of their three-month salaries.The employees are facing severe financial problems due to the apathy of the local government authorities who had adopted criminal lull over the issue, leaving the patients to undergo hunger, diseases and even die. The condition of the employees has turned so worst that one employee, Piaro Masih, has died of disease as he could not get proper treatment due to non-payment of the salaries.

The employees and their families are suffering from hunger. Several employees and their family members are unable to get treatment of their diseases. The sanitation employees Pono Masih, Ramesh Kumar and others held protest at local press club for immediate payment of their stuck up salaries. The protesters threatened the government that the strike would be observed in Talhar town on Wednesday against non-payment of their salaries.
