Load shedding on Shab-e-Barat: Commissioner Karachi seeks report against KESC

Karachi: Taking serious note of load shedding of electricity in Karachi on the eve of Shab-e-Barat, Commissioner Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui has directed all the Deputy Commissioners of five districts of city to submit a detailed report identifying the KESC officials involved in power cuts.

A press release said on Tuesday that KESC management had been directed not to do load shedding on the occasion of sacred religious eve but despite that it continued with load shedding that irked the citizens. Commissioner said the report must be presented in five days.

It may be mentioned that KESC suspended power supply to majority of city areas for over six hours and even did not hesitate to shut down power supply for many hours at the night when the Muslims were busy praying.
