Man gunned down in North Nazimabad

Karachi: A man was gunned down in North Nazimabad area on Wednesday. 52 years old Syed Haider Ali S/o Syed Ali was gunned down by unidentified armed men in Sector-11 North Nazimabad area in the remit of Sir Syed Police Station. The body was moved to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for autopsy. The victims received three bullets in head and died before he could be taken to hospital. Police registered FIR 8/2013 under Section 302 against unidentified men.

In a firing incident, 36 years old Shan Zada S/o Lal Zada was wounded during resisting a robbery bid in Sherpao Colony, Landhi Town. The injured was rushed to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for treatment.

35 years old Abdul Hafeez was injured in a road mishap near Korangi Crossing, as he was crossing the road. He was taken to JPMC for treatment.

33 years old rickshaw driver Muhammad Amin was injured in firing between police and dacoits near Landi Kotal roundabout, North Nazimabad area. He was rushed to ASH for treatment.

Separately, 40 years old passerby Muhammad Hanif, resident of Khadda Market, Lyari was injured in exchange of firing between two rival groups in Kharadar area in limit of Baghdadi Police Station.

The injured was shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi for treatment. Police sources said a group of armed men were removing the wall chalking of rival group last night when they quarrelled and opened firing on each other with sophisticated weapons. The intense firing restricted people to come out from their homes.

However, rangers and police personnel’s rushed the scene and brought the situation under control.
