Minister directs police not to tease people of Bara

Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Information and Parliamentary Leader of ANP Mian Iftikhar Hussain has strictly directed police officials not to harass the innocent tribals of FATA particularly Bara, Khyber Agency and refrain from negative attitude with them.

He issued these directives while talking to a representative Jirga of Bara, Khyber Agency in Peshawar on Wednesday.

Besides ANP Provincial President Senator Afrasiab Khattak and CCPO Peshawar

Imtiaz Altaf, noted personalities of Khyber Agency, Malik Waris Khan Afridi and Malik Imran Khan Afridi were also present on this occasion. Members of the Jirga apprised the minister of the problems and grievances of the tribals in the settled areas in detail.

The Minister said that we all are brothers having the same religion, caste, language, culture and traditions but unfortunately administratively they were not with us. He added that he felt wholehearted grief over the sorrows of his tribal brothers. He assured that the police force would extend all possible help to the tribal; however, they should also cooperate keeping in view the present critical situation.

The Minister categorically said that all the steps of the government were meant to ensure the protection of the lives and property of the people and stop the 35 years old bloodshed on this land. He added that we were in need of the help and cooperation of all the patriotic forces of the country.
