KARACHI: Sindh Minister for Local Government Syed Owais Muzaffar has directed DIG Hyderabad to hold fresh inquiry into Pangrio incident where some criminals had desecrated the body of Hindu Dalit folk singer, Bhooro Bheel, a few weeks back.
On the directives of Patron-in-Chief of Pakistan People’s Party PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Syed Owais Muzaffar visited the family of victim in the village Karo Bheel near Pangrio town today afternoon. He was accompanied by Minister Minority Affairs Gyanchand Esrani, MNA Sardar Kamal Khan Chand, MPAs Hasnain Mirza and Muhammad Nawaz Chandio, and Surrender Valasai.
Owais summoned DIG Hyderabad, DC and SP Badin to village Karo Bheel and ordered that all the culprits involved in this gruesome incident should not be stared and assured the family of Bhooro Bheel justice will be made to them and the criminals cannot escape from the long arms of law.
On the occasion, he announced that land would be granted for the minorities’ graveyard and also asked the minority minister that a boundary wall is constructed around this graveyard. He further said that one member of Bhooro Bheel family will be given government job and his widow will be provided financial assistance from Sindh government.
He said that a few people having criminal minds want to defame the province and the country through their nefarious designs but Sindh government will foil such conspiracies. He also took notice that a particular qabza group wants to encroach upon the graveyard land and ordered DC Badin to start operation against any kind of encroachment on government lands in Badin and asked him to requisition additional police contingents from anti-encroachment force, if needed.
