Minorities to take part in local body polls

KARACHI: Christian Democratic Union of Pakistan CDUP met here on Tuesday with Naeem Khokhar and discussed local government elections.

Chairman CDUP announced to take part in local government election of the country. He said: “Minorities have played an importance role for the progress of the country. The issues of minorities should be resolved on priority basis. An advisory committee has been established under the command of Younis Gul to take part in local bodies’ election.”

He said that the major populated areas of minorities were lacking basic amenities of life and due to this apathy; they had decided to take part in local body poll.
