Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Caretaker Minister for Information, Education and Women Development Mossarat Qadeem has said that lawyers were being considered an important and effective class of the society and the people had great expectations from them. She said that lawyers’ community has not only built its image on the national but also on the international level due to its role in restoration of judiciary.
These views she expressed while addressing the Charsadda Bar Association on Monday. President Bar Association, Altaf Khan Advocate also addressed the function held on this occasion. He highlighted the problems being faced by lawyers on local and provincial levels. Saifullah Advocate on this occasion presented a traditional Shawl to the Minister.
Addressing the function, the Minister Information said that she was proud on being the daughter of Charsadda, adding that it has always been her efforts to do something for her native district Charsadda.
She said the land of Charsadda was extremely fertile which has given birth too many such personalities who have earned good name in politics quality education, social and every walk of life.
Mossarat Qadeem said the present government had very little time and its basic job was to hold fair and impartial elections.
However, it would also like to do such things that may prove to be the road map for the next government. She stressed the need for electing competent and eligible leadership so that the prevailing unfortunate situation could be reformed.
She said the present government wanted positive change in the country and every child could acquire quality education as well as every member of the society could get better health facilities. She said that this could be possible only if we elect good people through ballot.
Information Minister said that women formed 51 % of our population and it was incumbent upon every member of our society to give them equal opportunities and supportive environment. She, on this occasion assured every possible support for solving problems of the lawyer’s community on priority basis.
