MQM MPA, his son shot dead in Karachi

KARACHI: Unidentified gunmen opened fire in North Nazimabad, killing an MPA of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), Sajid Qureshi and his son, Waqas Qureshi.

According to police, Sajid Qureshi and his son Waqas Qureshi, 22, were coming out from Al-Huda Mosque after offering Friday prayers in North Nazimabad when unidentified motorcyclists shot and injured them.

They were rushed to Ziauddin Hospital where they succumbed to injuries. Several MQM workers and leaders gathered in the hospital and protested over the killing of their party MPA and his son.

It is pertinent to mention here that Sajid Qureshi was elected member of provincial
assembly from PS-103 North Nazimabad.
