NA approves 34 demands for grants pertaining to Cabinet Division

The National Assembly has approved thirty-four demands for grants pertaining to the Cabinet Division.

The Cut Motions moved by the Opposition Members were rejected by the House.

Winding up the discussion on the cut motions, Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Ali Muhammad Khan said despite the fact that the present government inherited a weak economy, the focus of the Prime Minister Imran Khan is to protect the poor segments of the society from the impact of Covid-19, hence Ehsaas program was launched.

The Minister of State said that expenditure of Prime Minister Office and the Presidency have been reduced as part of the austerity drive. Earlier, the Opposition members criticized the performance and size of the Cabinet.
