Nato supply trucker gunned down

Landikotal: A Nato trucker shot dead at Jamrud and another was injured by unknown militants on Sunday, official sources said. They said that two Nato supply trucks bearing registration numbers P-4495 and LS- 102 were going Karachi from Torkham after delivering allied force assignments somewhere in Afghanistan, when they were intercepted by motorbike riders who opened indiscriminate firing on them.

Resultantly, one trucker identified as Zer Wali an Afghan national was killed while another received bullets wounds. The injured and the body were shifted to Jamrud hospital. The political administration arrested 24 suspects and impounded 15 motorcycles, the sources said.

Separately, an electricity pylon was blown up in Jamrud by explosives Saturday late night in Shakas area of tehsil Jamrud, suspending electricity supply to the area.
