Abbotabad: Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, former prime minister of Pakistan has said that if his party came into power they will restart developmental plans of the country from where these were left, assuring to make Pakistan an Asian Tiger.
This he said while addressing a mammoth rally at Havelian on Sunday in connection with his election campaign.
Mian Nawaz Sharif said that Pakistan Muslim League PMLN has never compromised on the dignity and honour of the country whenever they remained in power. He said in future also the country’s prestige will be their top priority and they will never allow anyone to sell the aspiration and wishes of the people of Pakistan.
Talking about his last tenure, Nawaz Sharif reminded that they were near to make the country a powerful economic icon through a countless developmental programs started in year 1991 including Gawadar port and motorway and others but this thread was broken by the dictators. He said we after making country atomic power has launched building of jet fighters with the help of China.
He said his future plans include an expressway from Hasan Abadal to Khanjurab to link China. He said it will be a milestone in the development of Hazara and northern areas. He said PMLN believes in the revolutions and not only cosmetic change as the nation badly needs revolution in every sector and complete overhauling of the every section of life is required.
Mian Nawaz addressing to the youth said that PMLN does not believe in fake promises and slogans but will give youths loans on soft terms so they can start their own business. He was confident that our youth can change the destiny of the nation.
Talking about the examples of good governance, Mian said that in recent past the country witnessed the worst ever corruption in Sindh and Balochistan. He said only Punjab was the province which was absolutely free from corruption.
Mian Nawaz Sharif said that running a government is something different from playing cricket. He said we have the ability to play cricket and also to run the affairs of government.
Earlier former chief minister KPK Sardar Methab Ahmed Khan, PML-N candidate for NA-18, Murtaza Javed Abbasi, candidates for PKPK assembly Barrister Javed Abbasi and Aurangzeb Nulhota also spoke.
