Nawaz vows to make Sindh cradle of peace

HYDERABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz PMLN Chief Nawaz Sharif said on Monday that previous government tenure was an era of darkness and atrocity; however, we would rid country of load shedding, loans and deteriorating law & order situation after coming into power.

“New era of prosperity will begin in Sindh. Tando Allahyar will be made a model district. Youth in Punjab were given laptop computers but why were they deprived of such facility by former Sindh chief minister,” he said while addressing a mammoth public gathering at Shalimar Bagh in Tando Allahyar.

Nawaz said: “We will not allow anyone to commit atrocities on farmers. What kind of good work has been done by Zardari and why should I praise him.” He said that we are coming to change the destiny of the country and would restore peace in Karachi and Balochistan.

Nawaz said that he treat politics as prayer and that was why they served people, established rule of law and strengthened state institutions whenever came to power. He said: “There were no bomb blasts like the present ones in our government tenure.

He said: “Balochistan situation is before you and Supreme Court had also pointed out that there are armed wings of political parties in Karachi.” He said that it was irony that no killer was arrested despite one each had killed 100 people. The PMLN chief said that they had ended dacoit culture in Sindh during their past rule and would again make Sindh the cradle of peace by coming into power.

He said that previous government destroyed country institutions ruthlessly and carried out load shedding up to 16 hours. He said that we would provide laptop computers to youth and resolve farmers’ community’s issues, besides establishing new water channels in Tando Allahyar.
