Northeast China Municipal Engineering Design & Research Institute delegation calls on PM

Islamabad: A delegation of Northeast China Municipal Engineering Design & Research Institute called on the Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif at PM House Islamabad on Thursday.

The delegation comprised of Mr. Jia Yonghong Chief Overseas Operations, Mr. Jia Jianwen Director General and Mr. Nadeem Basheer Chief Executive Officer while Secretary to PM Mr. Javaid Aslam, Secretary Railways Ms. Parveen Agha and Chairman CDA Mr. Maroof Afzal were also present in the meeting.

Prime Minister appreciated the interest shown by Chinese research institute in urban development projects. Prime Minister said that Chinese companies are already cooperating with Pakistan in several energy and infrastructure development projects and exchange of experts for research would be mutually beneficial for both the countries.

The Northeast China Municipal Engineering Design & Research Institute is state owned Chinese company with expertise in engineering sector.

This institute undertakes research on urban roads and bridges construction / municipal infrastructure, affordable and medium-sized domestic water supply, drainage for industrial and civil buildings, environmental pollution control facilities, solid waste disposal, municipal sector city gas projects, urban flood water industry and the construction industry.
