NPC's Kids Swimming Camp comes to end (The Financial Daily (Pakistan))

The 10day Kids Summer Swimming Camp organised by National Press Club with the cooperation of Pakistan Sports Board ended here Thursday. More than 120 children of the local journalist community participated in the camp. Dr. Akhtar Nawaz Gajera, Director General Pakistan Sports Board was the chief guest on the occasion.

Competitions in various categories were held on the concluding day Thursday. Rameesha Butt grabbed first position in the Girls Under-10 category while Niha Shafqat and Aisha Omar remained second and third, respectively.

Azqa Tariq Chaudhry grabbed first position in Girls Senior category. Samir Haider occupied first position in Boys Under-10 category while Muhammad Bin Javed took second and Muhammad Fahd Chaudhry took third position.

Hazifa Omar remained at first position in Boys 10Plus category while Hannan Satti and Abdullah Zafar took second and third position, respectively.

Zain Shafqat was adjudged first in Boys Senior category while Hamdan Butt and Ghulam Rasool grabbed second and third position, respectively.

Besides the chief guest Dr. Akhtar Nawaz Gajera those who also attended the concluding ceremony included; President Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists Afzal Butt, Chairman National Press Club Sports Committee Mohsin Ali, Deputy Director General Pakistan Sports Board Agha Amjad Ullah, Assistant Director Saeed Akhtar, Director Hostel Malik Imtiaz, senior journalists Nasir Naqvi, Rana Tanvir, Afzal Javed and a large number of journalists and their families.

Dr. Akhtar Nawaz Gajera, in his address on the occasion termed the holding of Summer Swimming Camp for the children of journalist by National Press Club a good step and assured his all-out help in future also. He said all possible facilities will be provided by Pakistan Sports Board to the children of journalist community in future also.
