NTDC wins WAPDA Inter Unit Swimming Championship

Lahore: The National Transmission and Dispatch Company NTDC won 45th WAPDA Annual InterUnit Swimming Championship securing 295 points. Faisalabad Electric Supply Company FESCO bagged second position with 234 points, while Gujranwala Electric Power Company GEPCO stood third in the competition with 233 points.

The three-day competition was organized by WAPDA Sports Board at WAPDA Sports Complex. Swimmers belonging to five supporting units of WAPDA Sports Board tried their muscles for 19 events in the championship.

Usman Javed of NTDC was declared Best Swimmer of the championship, winning six gold, one silver and one bronze medal.

WAPDA General Manager Finance Water Iftikhar Rafiq was the chief guest at the concluding ceremony of the championship, who gave away trophies to the winning teams. WAPDA Acting Managing Director Administration Muhammad Zafar and WAPDA Sports Board Director General Mian Riffat Mahmood were also present on the occasion.
