OIC chief receives Chinese ambassador to Saudi Arabia

Jeddah Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Dr. Yousef bin Ahmed Al-Othaimeen met here on Tuesday with Chinese Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Chen Weiqing and his accompanying delegation.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed issues related to enhancing joint cooperation, intensifying bilateral consultations and countering terrorism and extremism.

Al-Othaimeen affirmed the OIC's rejection of terrorism in all its forms and whatever its source, and that the Organization believes in the importance of promoting coexistence among peoples in order to achieve justice and peace.

For his part, the Chinese ambassador expressed his country's aspiration to strengthen relations with the OIC through mutual visits and increased consultations between the two parties in the coming period.
