OIC condemns suicide bombing in western Iraq

The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) strongly condemned the suicide bombing that targeted a security checkpoint in western Iraq on Wednesday, killing a number of innocent people and wounding others.

OIC Secretary General Dr. Yousef bin Ahmed Al-Othaimeen offered his condolences to the families of the victims and wished a speedy recovery to the wounded.

Al-Othaimeen called for combating terrorism in all its forms and manifestations. He affirmed the commitment of the Organization to continue coordination with Iraq to hold the Baghdad national reconciliation conference in line with the relevant resolutions of the OIC, and as part of the ongoing efforts to achieve security and stability in the country.
