OIC to participate in Geneva seminar on occupation, discrimination against Palestinians today

The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) will participate Tuesday in a symposium entitled "Half a Century of Occupation and Discrimination: for Accountability and Justice", on the sidelines of the 41st Session of the International Human Rights Council at the Palais des Nations in Geneva.

Director of the Department of Palestine and AlQuds Affairs Ambassador Ali Qutaly will deliver a statement at the symposium. Several keynote speakers will address the symposium, starting with Dr. John Rindolds, an international law expert; international activist Zoblivili Mandela, South African member of parliament; and Sawsan Zaher, an insider human rights activist and assistant director general of "Adalah".

The symposium will address a number of issues, most notably human rights violations in the occupied Palestinian territories by Israel the occupying power particularly with regard to the forced displacement of Palestinians, the imposition of (national state) law and issues such as Israel's racial discrimination against the Palestinian people.
