Pak Baseball Camp in full swing for Asian championship (The Balochistan Times (Pakistan))

National Baseball Training Camp is in full swing under the watchful of Japanese coach Toma Irokawa here at Punjab stadium.

The camp aimed at building up of the team to participate in 27th Asian Baseball Championship being played from September 16 to 21 at Chinese Taipei.

Pakistan Federation Baseball started the first phase of National Training Camp from July 1 , 2015 at Multan and the second phase started on July 25 at Sports Complex UCP Lahore to groom the team for the Asian event to be participated by Japan, Chinese Taipei, South Korea, China, Indonesia and Pakistan.

The presence of the foreign qualified and experienced coach is a big inspiration for our players to learn the finer points of the game ,

said a spokesman of PFB on Thursday.

All the training camp expenditure and expenses of Japanese are being borne by Pakistan Federation Baseball and Sports Board Punjab, he said.

He said the participation in the Asian championship will help Pakistan to improve its existing ranking of sixth .

After the participation Pakistan will qualify for the World Baseball Classic Championship 2016, he said.
