QUETTA: Pakistan Canoe and Kayak Federation following the International Canoe Federation ICF Junior Canoeing Development programme have successfully organized Junior Canoeing Training Camp for Boys / Girls Canoers here at HDWSA in Hanna Lake Quetta.
Forty two boys and girls under 18 participated in the Canoe and Kayak paddling training camp. The camp was organized as per International Canoe Federation ICF rules here at Hayat Durrani Water Sports Academy HDWSA Hanna Lake Quetta in collaboration with the provincial government and Pakistan Customs Sports Board Quetta.
The chief organizer of the junior Canoeing camp was the founder and chief executive of the HDWSA and secretary Pakistan Canoe and Kayak Federation Hayatullah Khan Durrani. While Muhammad Aslam Kasi Mohammad Yousaf performed as assistant Coaches, Madam Amna Khan Kakar and Madam Shahila performed as women associated coaches in the camp. Pakistan’s junior National canoeing champion Mohammad Abubakar Durrani performed the duties of Director training camp. The junior canoekayak training camp were supervised by Balochistan Canoeing and kayaking association concluded in the category of K1, K2 and C1.
Mohammad Umar Durrani and Basharat Khan Khilji in boys category and Miss Hanifa Khilji and Miss Mehraj Tareen and Miss Zam Zam Durrani in girls category were declared best kayak paddlers of the junior canoeing training camp May 2013 all the equipment’s i.e. Canoe, Kayak racing Boats, Paddles, lifesaving jackets, Motor Boats for the training were provided free of cost by PCKF and HDWSA.
The Secretary General of PCKF and Chief Executive HDWSA Hayatullah Khan Durrani appreciates the role of Csaba Szanto official and expert of International Canoe Federation ICF for his outstanding efforts and cooperation with PCKF for the promotion and development of Canoe and Kayak Sports in Pakistan specially his assistance for confirmation of Pakistan Participation in World Junior and U23 Canoeing Championships and TIP Canada finally Hayatullah Khan Durrani awarded certificates and shields to the participants.
