Karachi: Hamdard University, Karachi launches a new program (educational course) of MBA – Finance & Islamic Banking. Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Chief Guest and Dy. Governor, State Bank of Pakistan, Kazi Abdul Muktadir appreciated the efforts of Hamdard University for promoting the cause of Islamic Banking and further said that this new program of the university was a new development and catered the growing need of the time.
Mrs. Sadia Rashid, Chancellor, Hamdard University and President, Hamdard Foundation Pakistan said that the Hamdard Laboratories (Waqf) Pakistan had already switched over to Islamic Banking from conventional banking long before any other big organization did so in the country.
Prof. Dr. Hakim Abdul Hannan, Vice Chancellor, Hamdard University in his address said that Hamdard University was one of fastest growing universities in the country which now provided with an opportunity to the experienced bankers and young students to take advantage out of this innovative program.
Abdul Mujeeb Baig. Head of the Products Development and Research, Islamic Banking Division MCB Bank Ltd said that this program was designed by the faculty of HIMS in appreciable manner and it was an important step into future banking. Yasir Jamal Pasha, Dy. Director, HIMS offered vote of thanks.
