PCG apprehend 290 illegal immigrants

Karachi: Pakistan Coast Guards (PCG) and FIA on Sunday launched a joint operation in Nalient at Coastal Highway near Gawadar and apprehended 240 illegal immigrants including 216 Afghan nationals and 24 others hailing from different parts of the country.

In another operation 50 Afghan nationals were apprehended by PCG near Winder at RCD highway. These individuals were travelling from Quetta to Karachi. The illegal immigrants were planning to illegally cross Pakistan border using different land and sea routes.

The individuals are being handed over to FIA immigration authorities for further legal disposal.
