PCG seizes 80kg hashish, 24kg opium

Karachi: Pakistan Coast Guards (PCG) seized huge quantities of hashish and opium from general area Naka Khari near Winder, Balochistan during the current month.

The seizer was made on a tip-off about smuggling of narcotics through RCD and coastal highways. Special Mobile Patrols were constituted for snap checking in the area for the purpose and different passenger buses travelling from Quetta and Gwadar to Karachi were stopped for checking.

During search process, PCG officials recovered 80 kilograms of hashish and 24 kilograms of opium from unclaimed baggage of different buses. After recovery of narcotics, the buses were released being public carrier. Approximate value of hashish in the market is Rs7,297,019.

Further investigation and legal process was under way by PCG special investigation team.
