PDSA Disabled Badminton quarterfinal round starts (The Nation (Pakistan))

The quarterfinal round of 1st All-Pakistan PDSA Disabled Badminton Championship 2015 will start here at Rodham Hall, Pakistan Sports Complex today (Saturday).

Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) Director General Dr Akhtar Nawaz Ganjera will inaugurate the quarterfinal round. Pakistan Disabled Sports Association (PDSA) secretary Nasir Mehmood Ch told The Nation that a total of more than 150 players from across the country participated in the championship at their respective cities. We invited 16 players, who topped their cities to Islamabad for quarterfinals, semifinals and final. We are very grateful to the PSB DG, DDG Facilities Agha Amjedullah and Assistant director hostels Malik Imtiaz Hussain for providing free of cost facilities, accommodation and meal for the players.

We will distribute handsome prizes besides trophies, medals and certificates to the players and from next time around, cash prizes will also be included to buck up the players, who deserve due recognition, Nasir concluded.
